Pack Erupts for 13 Hits to Send Pirates Sailing

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State erupted for 10 runs on 13 hits Tuesday evening at Dail Softball Stadium, rolling past East Carolina, 10-2, in five innings for the 300th facility win.
The Wolfpack used a balanced offensive attack that featured five extra-base hits, while Morgen Talley earned her 13th victory of the season in the circle and added a double at the plate.
The Pack moves to 26-23 overall this season and 20-9 at home.
How It Happened
The Pack returns to Dail Softball Stadium on Friday, May 1 for the series opener against Louisville. First pitch is slated for 7pm and the game will be streamed on ACCNX.

How It Happened
- NC State broke through in the second inning when MaKayla Marbury ripped an RBI double to center, then later scored on a wild pitch to put the Pack ahead 2-0.
- The Wolfpack added three more in the third, highlighted by back-to-back solo and two-run home runs from Lily Livingston and Kendall Simmers to extend the lead to 5-0.
- East Carolina got on the board in the fifth with a two-run homer, trimming the deficit to 5-2.
- NC State answered immediately in the home half, plating five runs on six hits.
- RBI hits from Simmers, Taryn Massey, and Marbury pushed the lead to 8-2 before Maia Townsend delivered a two-run double to center to seal the run-rule victory.
