RALEIGH, N.C. – Sophomore infielder Elle McCloskey has signed with the Wolfpack ahead of the 2027, as announced by head coach Lindsay Leftwich.
The Huntington Beach, California native comes to the Pack after spending her freshman season at Oklahoma State and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
"Elle is exactly the type of competitor we want in our program. Having developed in elite softball environments, she understands the commitment and accountability that success requires," said Leftwich. "Her energy, competitiveness, and passion for the game are contagious, and she has the ability to elevate those around her. Elle's willingness to embrace hard coaching and push both herself and her teammates makes her a natural fit for the Wolfpack."
During her lone season with the Cowgirls, McCloskey appeared in three games and recorded four at-bats. She has an RBI to her name as she recorded one off a fielder's choice in the Cowgirls run-rule victory over Brown on Feb. 21.
While attending Mater Dei High School, McCloskey was a four-year letterwinner and two-time Defensive Player of the Year. She was tabbed first team All-Trinity League and was ranked the No. 34 prospect by Softball America in the class of 2025.
She played club for BSC Bengals Briggs with Wolfpack catcher, Carmen Montes de Oca.
College athletes run in her family as her mom player softball at Oklahoma and dad player basketball at Loyola Marymount. Currently, her older brother Jack plays basketball at Cal and her sister Kelly plays volleyball at Texas.
