Marching Band
For over 80 years the NC State University Marching Band, also know as the "Power Sound of the South", has thrilled millions with their exciting performances. That tradition of excellence thrives today with over 300 members dedicated to representing NC State in the best manner possible. The marching band strives to make Carter-Finley Stadium a high energy, intimidating place.
The "Power Sound of the South" has performed at numerous bowl games, including the 1942 Rose Bowl. The marching band has also received many honors including an invitation to perform for the President of the United States as part of his visit to Reynolds Coliseum.
