#8 Wolfpack Sweeps #17 Michigan in Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - No. 8 NC State women's tennis swept No. 17 Michigan, 7-0, on Sunday at the Varsity Tennis Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. After securing the doubles point, the Wolfpack won four three-set matches and added a pair of straight-set victories in singles play to earn its fifth sweep of the season.

With the win, NC State improves to 7-4 overall heading into a bye week.
NC State jumped ahead early by claiming the doubles point. Mia Slama and Lavinia Tanasie earned a 6-1 win on court three, before the No. 2 duo of Gabriella Broadfoot and Victoria Osuigwe clinched the point with a 6-2 victory on court one.
In singles action, Jasmine Conway doubled the Pack's lead with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Gabriella Lindgren on court six. No. 18 Tanasie added a straight-set victory of her own, defeating No. 94 Jessica Bernales, 7-6(4), 6-2.
No. 110 Anna Zyryanova clinched the match on court three. After dropping the opening set 4-6, she rallied to take the final two sets, 6-3, 6-4.
No. 36 Slama secured a ranked win on court one, coming back to defeat No. 14 Lily Jones in three sets. Osuigwe pushed the Pack closer to a sweep with a 6-1, 2-6, 7-5 win over No. 85 Emily Sartz-Lunde on court five.
No. 43 Broadfoot sealed the sweep with a top-10Â victory over No. 9 Piper Charney, earning a 7-5, 5-7, 6-4 win on court two.
The victory marks NC State's second consecutive win over the Wolverines.
