COLUMBIA, S.C. - NC State women's tennis earned two berths to the 2026 NCAA Individual Championships following a successful run at the ITA Carolina Regional Championships at the Carolina Outdoor Tennis Center, hosted by the University of South Carolina. No. 33 Lavinia Tanasie captured the first singles regional title in program history to earn a berth in the NCAA singles championships, while No. 2 Victoria Osuigwe and Roisin Gilheany won the doubles title to secure a spot in the NCAA doubles championships, marking the second regional doubles title in program history.
Amelie Smejkalova also delivered a strong performance for the Wolfpack, winning the consolation singles bracket.
Tanasie opened the tournament with a pair of straight-set wins in the rounds of 64 and 32 to advance to the round of 16, where she defeated Lillie Murphy of Furman, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
