PHILADELPHIA - NC State women's tennis will send three players to the 2026 ITA Division I Women's East Sectional Championships, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania from Thursday, Nov. 5, through Sunday, Nov. 8.
Victoria Osuigwe, Jasmine Conway and Amelie Smejkalova will represent the Wolfpack in singles play, while Conway and Smejkalova will also compete together in the doubles draw.
The Pack will compete in the East Section alongside players from the Atlantic, Carolina, New England and Northeast regions.
The ITA Sectional Championships serve as the final opportunity for players across the country to qualify for the 2026 NCAA Individual Championships. The East Sectional will feature a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw.
Six singles players from each section (24 total) will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship. Those qualifiers will include the four semifinalists and two winners of quarterfinal playoff matches. Three doubles teams from each section (12 total) will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship through the sectional competition: the champion, runner-up and third-place finisher.
NC State already has Mia Slama and Lavinia Tanasie qualified for the NCAA Singles Championship, while Osuigwe and Roisin Gilheany have secured a spot in the NCAA Doubles Championship. The NCAA Individual Championships will take place later this month in Athens, Georgia.
