
NC State XC Set to Close Regular Season with a Pair of Competitions on Friday

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's and women's cross country teams will wrap up the regular season on Friday, Oct. 17, racing in the Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison, WI, and in the Panorama Farms Invitational in Charlottesville, VA.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wolfpack was last in action on Friday, Oct. 3, competing at both the Sean Earl Loyola Invitational in Chicago and the Dill Family Foundation Invitational in Greenville, N.C.
The women's squad continued its dominant campaign, capturing another team victory in Chicago, while the men's squad earned an 11th-place finish.
Senior Hannah Gapes led the way with her second individual title of the season, clocking a personal-best time of 19:19.69. Bethany Michalak, Brooke Rauber, and Sadie Engelhardt each finished in the top 10, helping secure the team title. In all, nine of the women posted personal bests on the day.
On the men's side, Noah Valyo paced the Wolfpack with a 25th-place finish, followed closely by Luke Wiley in 28th.
At the Dill Family Foundation Invitational, all four Wolfpack women delivered a strong performance, all finishing in the top 10, led by a runner-up finish from Caroline Murrell. Three men competed unattached in Greenville, each earning a top-25 finish.
PACK IN THE POLLS
The NC State women's cross country team enters the weekend ranked No. 2 in the nation and No. 1 in the Southeast Region, according to the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll. The men's team currently sits at No. 12 in the Southeast Region.
