The 2026 ACC Championships mark the 49th appearance for the NC State women and the 71st for the Wolfpack men. The women will compete for their 31st ACC team title, their second consecutive championship, and their 10th title in the past 11 seasons. After overcoming a deficit during the 2024 championship race, the Wolfpack women will look to build on their 2025 victory and remain atop the conference.
The men will pursue their 16th ACC team championship and their first since 2011. After finishing 10th at last year's conference meet, the Wolfpack will look to make a statement as they begin their postseason run.
Fifth-year front runner Hannah Gapes enters the championship undefeated this season, positioning herself as one of the runners to watch in Blacksburg. Despite her success, Gapes is still searching for her first ACC individual title.
With a Wolfpack runner claiming the women's individual crown in each of the past seven seasons, Gapes and the rest of the Pack will look to continue NC State's remarkable run of individual success and add their name to the conference's list of champions.
NC State head women's cross country coach Laurie Henes will lead the Wolfpack at her 20th ACC Championship, while men's head coach Rollie Geiger enters his 45th conference championship meet.
Henes has earned ACC Coach of the Year honors 10 times during her tenure. Geiger has received the distinction 28 times, including 13 honors on the men's side and 15 on the women's side.
Together, the two coaches bring an extraordinary championship résumé to Blacksburg. Geiger has won a combined 35 ACC team championships across the men's and women's programs, while Henes has led the Wolfpack women to 10 ACC team titles.
