
Pack Wraps Up Regular Season in Greenville

GREENVILLE, NC - The NC State men's and women's cross country teams returned to action this morning in Greenville, North Carolina for the 2023 Pirate Invitational hosted by ECU.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After an eventful day yesterday at the Nuttycombe Invitational, the Pack rolled into the "two-five-two" with a heavily unattached lineup.
The day kicked off with the women's 6k race. Jolena Quarzo (20:58.9) ran unattached and took second place, while fellow freshman Kate Putman clocked in at 21:21.0 to finish fourth. Angelina Napoleon also recorded a top-10 finish, placing seventh with a time of 21:40.9.
Pittsboro native Caroline Murrell was the first runner attached to NC State to cross the finish line and she did so in 21:44.8 to claim eighth place.
The men's 8k followed and was won by NC State runner David Vorbach, who clocked in at 23:27.5 to take first place while running unattached. Ryan Motondo (23:54.1) and Miles Ally (24:10.9) each placed in the top-10, taking fifth and ninth, respectively.

The Wolfpack returns to action on Friday, October 27 in Tallahassee, Florida for the 2023 ACC Cross Country Championships.
