Wolfpack Softball Falls in Series Finale at Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – After splitting a doubleheader Saturday, NC State struggled in the series finale at Syracuse Sunday afternoon, dropping a 13-0 decision, as the Orange clinched the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) series.

The Wolfpack falls to 20-26 and 4-11 in conference action, while the Cuse improves to 23-18 and 8-9 in league play.

The Rundown
- Following a scoreless first inning, Syracuse erupted for five runs in the second to grab a 5-0 advantage.
- The Orange added to its lead in the third with three runs to extend its lead to 8-0.
- An inning later, the Cuse tacked on five additional runs to stretch its advantage to 13-0.

NC State returns to action Wednesday, April 20 at UNCG. First pitch of the contest is slated for 5 p.m. and will be broadcast live on American Sports Network (ASN).
