Wolfpack Host Season Opener at Adidas XC Challenge

CARY, N.C. - The NC State cross country teams will open the 2026 season close to home on Friday, hosting the Adidas XC Challenge at WakeMed Soccer Park Cross Country Course.
The meet will feature two collegiate races, beginning with the men's 6K at 5:50 p.m., followed by the women's 5K at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free for all spectators, and parking will also be free throughout Friday's event.
Final results will be available on the official Adidas XC Challenge website and through Flash Results following the conclusion of the meet.
Participating Teams Include: Bob Jones, Campbell, Davidson, East Carolina, High Point, Liberty, Longwood, NC Central, NC State, Richmond, Shaw, South Carolina State, South Carolina (Women), UNC Greensboro, UNC Pembroke, Virginia State, Wake Forest (Men).
Friday's meet marks the first of four regular-season competitions for the Wolfpack and the only in-state meet on NC State's schedule this season.
The Wolfpack women enter the season ranked No. 1 in the USTFCCCA preseason national rankings, setting the stage for their first competition of the 2026 campaign.
Additionally, the top 10 finishers in both the men's and women's college/open races will receive a commemorative T-shirt after exiting the finish corral.
