The Series History With The Opponent
- Tuesday's meeting marks the 27th of all-time between the Wolfpack and Niners.
- NC State has won eight of the last 10 games and holds an 11-2 record when playing in Raleigh
- In the last meeting in 2025, Hannah Church and Kendall Simmers each had two hits in the outing - one being a homer for each. The Pack ended up winning in Charlotte, 8-2, and out-hit the Niners 13-7.
- be the 16th consecutive win for the Pack
- be the 19th of the 2026 campaign
- be the 74th under Leftwich
- be the 670th in program history
- The Pack will begin a 21-game homestand on Feb. 17 against Queens, marking the longest in program history.
- The last time the Wolfpack played close to that many consecutive games at home was in 2020, when the Pack started a 20-game homestand in the second week of the season that concluded March 10 after the remainder of the season was canceled due to COVID-19.
- Since Feb. 17, the Wolfpack has not lost a game. The (current) 15-game winning streak marks the longest in coach Leftwich's tenure and longest in program history since 2007 when that team won 16 straight.
- The 15-game winning streak also marks the longest HOME winning streak in program history. The previous record of 10 was set in 2024 when the Pack won all home games from Feb. 16-25.
- The streak is hot headed into the final non-conference game before ACC play begins. If the Pack wins on Tuesday, it marks 16 straight and ties the program record for longest winning streak.
- Freshman utility player Morgen Talley has become a force to be reckoned with in the circle, in the field AND at the plate. She is proving that despite it being hard to be a two-way player, she is able to succeed no matter what.
- The two-way player posted video-game like numbers throughout the week of March 3-7. Her 1.1438 slugging percentage alone was one of the best in the ACC last week.
- As of March 9, she ranks second on the team in hits (25), RBIs (18), homers (6), ERA (2.79), IP (47.2) and ranks first in CG (3), SHO (3), K's (47). Her 7-1 record in the circle ties for first on the staff.
- Freshman Carly Short has successfully reached base in all 25 games this season, a mark that checks in at third most in a season in program history. It is also a mark that ranks as one of the best in the nation - Kennedy Powell and Mya Perez from Texas A&M, in addition to Mia Gomez from Utah all tie for first with 26 consecutive games giving Short the sole ranking of second in the nation(based on accessible data).
- The last time a member of the Pack held a streak that long was in 2022 when senior Logan Morris held a 28-game reached base streak The last freshman to post numbers like this? Alyssa Compton in 2015 had a streak of 16 games.
- Redshirt-junior Wynne Gore had an outstanding week in the circle from Feb. 27 to March 1, picking up two wins in two complete games and four appearances. She gave up no earned runs gave up only one extra base hit and walked just three batters in 17.1 innings of work.
- In the win over Illinois on 2/22, she struck out a season high five batters, falling just one short of tying her career high.
- She leads the pitching staff with a 1.45 era and ties freshman Morgen Talley with a 7-1 record in the circle.
- She is quickly becoming the 'ace' for the Pack in the circle.
