NC State Cross Country Set for Under Armour NCAA Pre-National Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The NC State cross country teams will close out their 2026 regular season schedule Friday, October 16, at the Under Armour NCAA Pre-National Invitational at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind., the same course where the Wolfpack hopes to finish its postseason at the 2026 NCAA Championships.
Admission for spectators is $5 per person, payable in cash at the gates. Children ages five and under will be admitted free of charge.
Live results will be available on the official Terre Haute website and through Midwest Timing following the conclusion of each race. RunnerSpace will provide a broadcast of this year's meet.
The NC State women's cross country team enters the meet ranked No. 1 nationally in the latest USTFCCCA rankings, holding the top spot for the third consecutive week.
Fifth-year runner Hannah Gapes also heads into Friday's competition following an impressive performance at the Joe Piane Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame. Gapes claimed the individual title, earning both USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week and ACC Female Performer of the Week honors.
The Wolfpack last competed at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course during the 2025 NCAA Championships. Friday's meet will provide another opportunity for NC State to compete on the course ahead of the postseason.
