
Pack Begin ACC Play Set To Take On Louisville & Notre Dame

RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 15 NC State women's tennis team is set to begin ACC play this weekend with a two-match road trip. The Wolfpack will start by facing Louisville in Louisville, KY, on Friday, Feb. 28, followed by a Sunday afternoon matchup against Notre Dame.
Live results from Friday's match will be available on StatBroadcast, while Sunday's contest against the Fighting Irish will be covered on StatBroadcast for live results and on the Fighting Irish media stream for live streaming.
In the latest ITA rankings, NC State holds its position at No. 15. The Wolfpack boasts three singles players and one doubles team ranked in the ITA Top 100. No. 30 Michaela Laki, No. 54 Gabia Paskauskas, and No. 100 Maddy Zampardo all earned spots in the singles rankings, while Gabriella Broadfoot and Maddy Zampardo are ranked No. 2 in doubles.
Heading into conference play, NC State holds a 5-3 record, including victories over four ranked opponents. The Pack is coming off a strong 5-2 win over No. 6 Michigan.
Scouting the Cardinals
Louisville enters its second ACC matchup with a 5-2 record. This will mark the 13th meeting between the two programs, with NC State leading the series 10-2. The most recent meeting was in 2024, when the Wolfpack hosted the Cardinals in Raleigh. NC State has won the last 10 encounters and will look to extend that streak this weekend.
Scouting the Fighting Irish
Notre Dame (11-1) comes into the weekend ranked No. 24 in the ITA team rankings. The Wolfpack leads the series 9-3, with the most recent matchup taking place in 2024 in Raleigh, where NC State won 5-2. The Pack has won the last nine meetings against the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame's No. 109-ranked Akari Matsuno leads the team with an 18-4 singles record.
Looking ahead, the Wolfpack will return home to Raleigh to face Virginia Tech on Mar. 7 at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
