How it Happened
- Junior Taylor Ensley recorded the first hit of the evening as she singled up the middle in the top of the first. Sophomore Amanda Hasler was hit by the first pitch thrown her way, allowing her to head to first base while Ensley headed to second. The Noles left the two stranded on base and grabbed the final out to stop the Pack from reaching home.
- Kalei Harding drilled a two run homer in the bottom of the first to give the Seminoles a 2-0 lead.
- The Seminoles plated two more in the bottom of the second after a single by Jaysoni Beachum brought two home. With Florida State holding a 4-0 lead and two outs on the board, Rylee Wyman entered the circle for the Pack.
- FSU scored a fifth run in the bottom of the third after a sacrifice fly allowed Madi Frey to reach home.
- The top of the fifth was absolute chaos for the Pack. Kaylee Lmabrecht led off the inning with a single to center field. MaKayla Marbury pinch hit for Alaina Smith and started the chaos. Marbury hit an infield single with a 2-1 count that was called foul and forced her back into the batter's box. She then drilled a double down the left line that was also ruled foul before she hit a single through the left side that got her on base. With two on base and no outs, Florida State brought in a pitching change in hopes of ending the chaos. Tori Ensley singled to left center with a 1-1 count to load the bases for her sister Taylor. The older of the two Ensley's struck out swinging to bring up the first out of the frame. The Seminoles would get the next two batter's out and leave three stranded.
- With two on base and one out in the bottom half of the fifth, Kennedy Harp hit a three-run, walk-off home run to end the game with FSU on top 8-0.
- Madison Inscoe started in the circle for NC State and pitched 1.2 innings. Rylee Wyman pitched the final 2.2 innings for the Wolfpack.
- Six members of the Pack recorded a hit in the outing, including Hannah Goodwin who recorded a double to mark her 100th career hit in the top of the fourth.
