
#3 NC State Returns Home for Top-15 Matchups

RALEIGH – The No. 3 NC State women's tennis team (15-2) is set to host two matches at home Feb. 28 and March 1. The Pack takes on No. 12 and No. 13 Virginia at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.

PACK IN THE RANKINGS:
NC State reached a new program-best ranking for the second consecutive week, checking in at No. 3 in the latest Oracle/ITA Divison I rankings. The squad moved up one spot from the previous No. 4 mark.
STRONG START TO CONFERENCE PLAY:
NC State's 2-0 opening weekend to ACC play marks just the fourth time in program history the squad has posted that mark to a start in the conference (1995, 1998, 2018).
SCOUTING WAKE FOREST:
The Demon Deacons, tabbed at No. 12 in the latest rankings, hold a 9-1 record. Their lone loss came against Ohio State in a sweep in late January.
Wake Forst has two singles players ranked (No. 29 Carolyn Campana, No. 79 Eliza Omirou), and one doubles tandem ranked (No. 11 Omirou and Mary Caroline Meredith).
SCOUTING VIRGINIA:
Virginia enters the weekend as the No. 13 team with an 8-3 record. The Cavaliers split their ACC opener weekend with a 4-3 loss to Georgia Tech and a 6-1 win over Clemson.
In doubles, Chloe Gullickson and Amber O'Dell check in as the 41st-ranked duo, and the team boasts four players in the singles rankings (No. 29 Natasha Subhash, No. 35 Rosie Johanson, No. 89 O'Dell and No. 95 Sofia Munera.

For matches starting before 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, fans will need to obtain a virtual event permit to park in the West Deck or West Lot.
