CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The NC State cross country program finished its first weekend of 2018 competition Friday evening as it had runners in action at the Queen City Invite in Charlotte, N.C.
MEN'S 8K RECAP:
Redshirt junior Kyle Christ and redshirt freshman Noah Graham represented the Wolfpack men in Charlotte. Christ was the Pack's top finisher in the men's race. He ran the fastest 8K of his NC State career (25:29) on the way to placing 20th overall. Competing in Wolfpack uniform for the first time in his career, Graham clocked a 25:59 PR to finish 39th.
WOMEN'S 5K RECAP:
Three freshmen from NC State's roster ran unattached at the Queen City Invite. Sarah LaTour secured a fifth-place finish, crossing the finish line in 17:46. Ashley Holt clocked a 17:58 5K to place 12th, and Marissa Bishop placed 44th in 18:43.
UP NEXT:
The Wolfpack will head two ways for its next weekend of competition as it sends athletes to the ECU Pirate Invitational on Friday, Oct. 12 and the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals Meet on Saturday, Oct. 13.
