Pack Finishes Seventh At Tar Heel Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The NC State women's golf team concluded competition on Sunday at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational, finishing seventh out of 18 teams with a final round score of 291 (+3) for a tournament score of 863 (-1).
Duke captured the team title with a 31-under par 833, while Alabama (834) and South Carolina (846) rounded out the top three of the team standings at Finley Golf Course.
Laura Kowohl carded another 69 (-3) to wrap up her third top 20 showing of the season. She finished in a tie for 13th with a five-under par 211. Crystal Huang turned in a career-best tournament score of 217 (+1) to finish T32nd after posting a two-over 74 in the final round.
India Clyburn shot a 73 (+1) on Sunday to finish one stroke behind Huang in a tie for 37th, while Naomi Ko shot a final round of 75 to finish T43rd with a 219 (+3). Cecily Overbey rounded out the Pack's lineup with a 78 to finish T67th in the individual standings with a 226 (+10).
The Wolfpack returns to action Oct. 27-29 at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C., for its fourth and final tournament of the fall season.
