
Cross Country Competes at Three Stripe Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C.- The NC State cross country teams competed in the 2014 Three Stripe Red-Shirt Invitational Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Wake Med Cross Country Course in Cary, N.C.
Meet Highlights
From the men's side, sophomore Jacob Thomson, running unattached, finished with a time of 14:48.90- the second fastest time of the meet and the fastest time for the Wolfpack men.
Freshmen Ian Milder and Zack Langston, also running unattached, finished with the fourth and sixth fastest times of the meet to round out the top three for the Pack. Milder ran a pace of 14:53.35 and Langston a finished with time of 15:05.44.
Newcomer Rachel Koon ran an unattached time of 17:32.55- the second fastest time of the meet and the fastest time for the Wolfpack women.
Freshmen Megan Rempel and Gianna Frontera, also running unattached, finished behind Koon with the third and fourth fastest times of the meet to round out the top three for the NC State women. Rempel ran a pace of 17:38.61, while Frontera ran a time of 17:41.07.
As a team, the Wolfpack women finished second in the official standings with 30 points.
Up Next
The teams will be back in action Friday, Nov. 14 in Louisville, Ky. for the 2014 NCAA Southeast Regional, hosted by ACC foe Louisville. The men currently rank second while the women are listed third in the Southeast Regional.
