STANFORD, Calif. – The NC State softball team dropped the series finale, 1-3, at No. 20/19 Stanford on Sunday afternoon at Stanford Softball Stadium.

The loss moves NC State to 25-20 overall and 6-11 in ACC play.

How It Happened

Stanford broke through in the second inning, scoring three runs on three hits, highlighted by a two-RBI double.
NC State got on the board in the fourth as Lily Livingston scored on a wild pitch to make it 3–1.
The Wolfpack put runners on base in the fifth but was unable to bring a run across.
Stanford was held scoreless over the final four innings as NC State pitching settled in.
NC State threatened in the seventh with a runner advancing to third but was unable to capitalize as Stanford closed out the game.
Rylee Wyman started in the circle for the Pack and provided 3.2 innings of work with four strikeouts.
Charli Orsini entered in relief, throwing 2.1 innings with two strikeouts.
