RALEIGH, N.C. - No. 9 NC State women's tennis played its first outdoor home match of the spring season, defeating Florida State, 4-0, Friday afternoon at J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. The Wolfpack secured the doubles point before earning singles victories on courts one, four and six to complete the sweep.

NC State opened the afternoon by claiming the doubles point with wins on courts three and one. Mia Slama and Lavinia Tanasie earned the first victory of the round with a 6-0 decision over Cade Cricchio and Mary Boy Deatherage. Shortly after, the second-ranked duo of Gabriella Broadfoot and Victoria Osuigwe clinched the point with a 6-4 win against Tina Li and Eva Shaw on court one.

In singles play, No. 66 Anna Zyryanova doubled the Pack's lead with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Cricchio on court four. Jasmine Conway then pushed NC State to the brink of clinching with a 6-3, 6-0 win against Lauren Anderson on court six. No. 41 Mia Slama secured the victory for the Wolfpack with a ranked win over No. 125 Eva Shaw, 6-1, 6-3, on court one.

NC State did not drop a single set on the afternoon and led in every unfinished match as it cruised to the victory over the Seminoles.
