Pack Wins 14th Straight, Extends Longest Home Streak in Program History

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State softball team extended its home winning streak to 14 games—the longest in program history—after victories over Stetson and Mercer on day two of the Marucci Classic.
NC State is now two-thirds of the way through its record-setting 21-game homestand. Led by offensive surges from freshman Morgen Talley and Carly Short, the Pack improves to 17-7 on the season.
NC State 4, Stetson 2
NC State will wrap up the Marucci Classic with a rematch against Mercer at 3 p.m. Saturday, streamed live on ACCNX.

NC State 4, Stetson 2
- Rylee Wyman started in the circle and tossed five scoreless innings, allowing four hits to keep the Hatters off the scoreboard early.
- NC State struck first in the second when Taryn Massey's fielder's choice scored Hannah Church for a 1-0 lead.
- The Pack extended the lead in the fourth on a solo home run by Morgen Talley to deep center field.
- Stetson tied the game in the sixth with a two-run homer, 2-2.
- NC State responded immediately in the bottom half of the sixth as Hannah Church crushed a two-run homer to left field, plating Lily Livingston and reclaiming the lead.
- Wynne Gore closed the door in the seventh, earning the win in relief.
- Talley led the offense, going 3-for-3, and NC State recorded seven hits overall.
- Talley dominated on the mound, throwing a two-hit complete-game shutout with six strikeouts to improve to 7-1 on the season.
