#9 and Fifth-Seeded Pack Headed to ITA National Team Indoor Championships

EVANSTON, ILL. - The No. 9 NC State women's tennis team (5-1, 0-0 ACC) is one of 16 teams set to compete at the 2026 ITA National Team Indoor Championships, hosted by Northwestern University and the University of Illinois. The tournament begins Friday, Feb. 6, and runs through Tuesday, Feb. 10.
The Wolfpack enters the event as the fifth seed and will open play against fourth-seeded and No. 8 Oklahoma State on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. CT) at the Combe Tennis Center.
Live stats will be available via IonCourt, with live streaming provided through Playsight.
NC State's appearance at the national indoor championship marks its fifth trip in the last eight seasons. The Pack last qualified for the event in 2024, advancing to the semifinals before falling to Michigan.
Match Details
One of the marquee events of the collegiate tennis season, the 2026 ITA Division I Women's National Team Indoor Championship features 16 of the nation's top programs. Play begins Friday, Feb. 6, and concludes Tuesday, Feb. 10, when a national champion will be crowned.
The single-elimination tournament guarantees each team at least three matches through the main draw or consolation play. Teams will compete daily through Sunday, with the four semifinalists receiving an off day to allow travel from Illinois to Evanston ahead of the semifinals and finals at Northwestern on Monday and Tuesday. All consolation matches will conclude Sunday.

The Wolfpack claimed the doubles point and earned singles victories from Victoria Osuigwe and No. 38 Lavinia Tanasie, but the rivalry dual ultimately came down to a three-set match on court one that favored the Tar Heels.
NC State set the tone in doubles, taking two of three courts. No. 40 Jasmine Conway and Anna Zyryanova earned a 6-3 win on court two over the No. 3-ranked duo of Oby Kajuru and Susanna Maltby, before No. 4 Gabriella Broadfoot and Osuigwe clinched the point with a 6-4 victory over 11th-ranked Reese Brantmeier and Alanis Hamilton on court one.
In singles, Osuigwe recorded the first ranked singles win of her collegiate career, defeating No. 51 Theadora Rabman 6-4, 6-3 on court five. Tanasie followed with her second straight ranked win, taking down No. 69 Alanis Hamilton 7-6(3), 6-4 on court four to level the match at 3-3.
The deciding point came on court one, where Broadfoot pushed top-ranked Brantmeier to three sets, but Brantmeier ultimately secured the 4-3 victory for UNC.
Scouting the Cowgirls
Oklahoma State enters Friday's matchup with a 2-1 record. The Cowgirls earned their spot in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships with wins over Wichita State and Texas Tech during ITA Kickoff Weekend, marking their second straight appearance in the tournament.
Oklahoma State heads to Evanston as the fourth seed and is ranked No. 8 in the latest ITA rankings after opening the season at No. 10 in the preseason poll.
