RALEIGH, N.C. — The NC State softball team posted a doubleheader sweep Thursday evening at Dail Softball Stadium, defeating Toledo 6-0 before edging Lehigh 3-2.

NC State 6, Toledo 0

Morgen Talley was untouchable, tossing a complete-game two-hit shutout to pick up the win (5-1).
The Wolfpack struck early and often, plating three runs in the first inning:
- Maia Townsend singled and swiped second to set the tone.
- Lily Livingston's fielder's choice brought in the first run.
- MaKayla Marbury followed with a two-RBI single for a quick 3-0 lead.
NC State added three more in the second:
- Kendall Simmers ripped a two-RBI single.
- Talley delivered a sacrifice fly to extend the margin to 6-0.
The Pack finished with eight hits while holding Toledo scoreless.

NC State 3, Lehigh 2

After three scoreless innings, the Wolfpack broke through in the fourth:
- Talley opened with a single.
- Bases loaded after a hit-by-pitch and single.
- Sarah Johnson was hit by a pitch to force in the first run.
- Townsend drew a bases-loaded walk.
- Simmers capped the rally with an RBI hit to make it 3-0.
Lehigh battled back:
- An RBI single in the fifth made it 3-1.
- A solo home run in the sixth trimmed the deficit to 3-2.
Wynne Gore shut the door in relief, striking out four over the final 1.1 innings to secure her second save of the season.
Rylee Wyman earned the win with strong work in the circle to pick up her second win:
- 5.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 8 K

By the Numbers

Wolfpack pitching combined for 19 strikeouts across the doubleheader.
NC State allowed only two total runs in 14 innings.
The Pack improve to 10-7 with the sweep.
The wins move head coach Lindsay Leftwich to 65-59 at NC State.
