CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The NC State softball team dropped the series finale at Boston College, 10-7, Sunday afternoon at Harington Athletic Village.
The Wolfpack claims the series after winning games one and two. The squad moves to 20-12 on the season and 4-5 in conference play.

The Pack will remain on the road as it heads to Charlotte on Wednesday, March 26 before heading back to Florida for a series at Florida State.

How it Happened
- The Eagles took a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the first after two home runs and some walks.
- Kendall Simmers led off the second inning with a double to left center to get the Pack going. With an out on the board, Hannah Goodwin earned a walk after working a full count and MaKayla Marbury singled to center to drive home Simmers to put NC State on the board.
- The Eagles added another run to the board in the bottom of the second after a homer from Jordan Stephens.
- Leadoff hitter Michele Tarpey smashed a ball to the flagpole in center field in the third inning to add a second run to the board for the Pack.
- A double by the Eagles in the bottom half of the frame pushed their lead back to six (8-2).
- It wasn't until the sixth inning that the Pack got something going offensively again. With two on base, Simmers smashed her second homer of the weekend, a three run shot, to push the run total to five for NC State.
- Boston College increased the lead once again in the bottom half of the sixth after a two RBI single from Zoe Hines.
- Junior Hannah Church recorded the Pack's last hit of the outing when she smashed a two-run homer to center field to minimize the Eagles lead to three (10-7).
- Rylee Wyman started in the circle and pitched 0.1 innings. She was the pitcher of record when the Eagles took the lead and moves to 5-3 on the season.
- Carly Maxton pitched 5.1 innings for the Pack and tallied one strikeout in the circle.
