RALEIGH -- The NC State softball team (14-8) is set to host George Mason (7-15) on Tuesday March 12 at 6pm for a single game at Dail Stadium.

Fans attending the game will need to utilize the virtual parking permit linked above if they intend to park before 5pm. Tickets are available to purchase online and at the gates.

Noting the Pack

2024 marks the first season under the leadership of first-time head coach Lindsay Leftwich. She came to NC State after spending the last 12 seasons as the top assistant at LSU under Beth Torina.
NC State returns 18 players from its 2023 campaign, including infielder Hannah Goodwin who led the team with a .359 batting average a year ago.
The Pack welcomed six newcomers over the summer, including five freshmen and a transfer.
Tenacious - the best word to describe the 2024 squad. They accept any challenge thrown their way, no matter how difficult it proves to be. Those who were here in 2023 dealt with some interesting circumstances, but stuck together as they knew the future would bring brighter days.
After defeating No. 8/9 Clemson on March 2, the Pack received votes in the week three Softball America Poll. The nod was the first since 2019 that the Pack received votes in a poll.

Series History with George Mason (State leads 1-0)

Tuesday's outing will mark just the second meeting between the two programs and the first in Raleigh.
The initial match up was in 2017 and the Pack won 4-0.

195 Minutes

The Pack battled with Georgia Tech for three hours and 15 minutes Friday evening in game one of the series. The meeting went to 11 innings and the Yellow Jackets finished on top, 4-1.
The two teams remained scoreless until the top of the sixth when GT put a run on the board and NC State would later tie it in the bottom of the seventh after a home run from Taylor Ensley.
The 11 inning game marked the first of that length since May 4, 2019 when the Pack battled with Louisville.
