RALEIGH – The NC State softball team (14-8, 1-5) fell to Georgia Tech (18-7, 6-0) Sunday afternoon in the final game of the series at Dail Stadium.

The Wolfpack will return to Dail Softball Stadium on Tuesday March 12 to take on George Mason. First pitch is set for 6pm on ACCNX.

How it Happened
- The Yellow Jackets jumped out to an early lead in the opening frame after a double allowed one to score.
- The Pack responded in the bottom half of the first after junior Taylor Ensley drilled a two run bomb to left field. The homer marked her seventh of the season.
- After a single by Ella Edgmon and a homer by Sara Beth Allen, Georgia Tech regained the lead, 5-2, in the second.
- NC State struggled to get runners into scoring position throughout the afternoon.
- Georgia Tech added five more runs in the fourth inning to increase the lead to eight. The Wolfpack picked up its second error of the afternoon, allowing the Yellow Jackets to have two reach home, pushing them ahead 10-2.
- Aisha Weixlmann started in the circle for the Pack and finished with two strikeouts. Madison Inscoe and Rylee Wyman also entered the circle in the outing.
- Taylor Ensley, Madison Inscoe, and Kaylee Lambrecht each recorded a hit for NC State.
