
Wolfpack Takes a Trip to Oklahoma to Face Sooners

NORMAN, Okla. – The No. 6 NC State women's tennis team continues their road trip on Sunday, Feb. 25, as they take on the Oklahoma Sooners at noon from the Headington Family Tennis Center.
Sunday's match against the Sooners will not be streamed, but fans can follow along with the match through live stats here.
The Wolfpack (8-2) will be looking to get back in the win column after consecutive 4-1 losses to No. 2 Michigan, with the most recent coming in the Wolfpack's last match on Friday.
After three straight losses, the No. 9 doubles pair of Sophie Abrams and Anna Zyryanova found the win column last time out def. Fliegner & Jones of Michigan 6-2. Abigail Rencheli and Gabriella Broadfoot also picked up a win at Michigan to help secure the doubles point against the Wolverines
This will be the second straight year these two programs have squared off with one another, with the last match taking place in Raleigh last season, which saw the Wolfpack win comfortably 6-1. The Sooners lead the overall series 2-1 with the first meeting taking place in 1993.
The Sooners (4-3) are coming off a ranked win on Friday after beating No. 12 San Diego 4-3. Like the Wolfpack, the Sooners have plenty of names in the ITA rankings: No. 38 Dana Guzman, No. 41 Florencia Urrutia, No. 74. Alina Shcherbinina, No. 93 Julia Garcia Ruiz, and No. 98 Ava Catanzarite.
