
NC State Falls to Boston College

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State women's soccer fell to Boston College 2-1 in Thursday night's match at Dail Soccer Field.
Boston College's Ava Lung put the Eagles on the board early, scoring in the ninth minute. Both teams were evenly matched in the first half, with six shots apiece, though NC State held a slight possession edge at 55%.
In the second half, NC State equalized in the 55th minute when Jade Bordeleau found the net, assisted by Annika Wohner to put the Wolfpack on the board.
Despite outshooting the Eagles 11-9 and dominating with an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks, the Wolfpack fell short in capitalizing on their opportunities.
Boston College's Aislin Streicek had the decisive goal in the 76th minute to lead the Eagles to a 2-1 victory over the Wolfpack.
NC State will look to bounce back in their next ACC matchup against Virginia on October 10.
