
NC State Travels to Take on No. 25 Virginia

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State women's soccer team (3-8-2, 0-4-1 ACC) will travel to take on No. 25 Virginia (8-4-0, 1-4-0 ACC) Thursday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast live on ACCNX.
NC State in the Series
The Wolfpack holds a 14-29-4 all-time record against the Cavaliers. NC State secured a 2-1 victory in their most recent matchup on Oct. 8, 2023, in Raleigh. Historically, NC State won eight of the first 10 meetings in the series, which dates back to 1984.
Scouting Virginia
Virginia, ranked No. 25 by the United Soccer Coaches, has been in the top 25 for the past 10 consecutive weeks. The Cavaliers are led by Maggie Cagle, an ACC Offensive Player of the Week (Aug. 27), who has scored six goals this season and ranks No. 19 nationally in game-winning goals. Virginia's most recent outing was a 3-1 loss to No. 2 Duke.
Last Time Out
NC State last competed at home against Boston College, where they fell 2-1. Jade Bordeleau scored for the Wolfpack, assisted by Annika Wohner. Bordeleau's goal tied her with Wohner for the team lead this season, with four goals each.
A win on Thursday would mark NC State's first conference victory of the season and the 403rd in program history.
