Wolfpack Women Take Second Place at Nuttycombe Invitational

MADISON, WI - The NC State men's and women's cross country teams returned to action this afternoon, taking part in the 2023 Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Wolfpack women got the day started by turning in a second-place team performance with 95 points in the women's 6k championship race. Katelyn Tuohy was the first NC State runner to cross the finish line, doing so in 19:29.5 as she made her season debut with a second-place finish. Kelsey Chmiel finished one spot behind Tuohy, taking third with a time of 19:52.9.
Freshman Leah Stephens continued her impressive start to her collegiate career by clocking in at 20:12.7 to finish 14th.
The Pack was also represented in the men's 8k championship race. Toby Gualter led the team with a time of 24:07.6. The Wolfpack men's team finished 31st overall with 677 points.
