
Second-Best Season Round has Pack Tied for Eighth at Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. - The NC State women's golf team posted its second-best aggregate score of the season on Saturday, firing a 291 (+3) team score led by Lauren Olivares Leon's two-under par round of 70.
Amidst one of the toughest fields in all of collegiate golf, the Wolfpack currently sits in a tie for eighth with ACC foe Clemson through two days of competition.
Aside from Olivares Leon, one of NC State's four counted scores came from Inja Fric, who followed up yesterday's career-best round with a two-over 74 on Saturday. Fric currently leads all Wolfpack golfers and is in a tie for fifth-place amongst all individual competitors at two-over par.
Lea Klimentova continued her solid week as well, posting a 73 (+1) and sits in a tie for 25th.
Natalie Armbruester and Isabel Amezcua rounded out the remainder of NC State's roster, with Armbruester posting a two-over 74 and Amezcua finishing the day with a 76 (+4).
Michigan leads all team competitors at eight-under par, with South Carolina, Michigan State, UCF, and Virginia Tech rounding out the top five with one round of play remaining. Michigan's Mikaela Schulz leads all individuals at seven-under through two rounds.
Tomorrow's round will begin with an 8:45 a.m shotgun start, the final day of play for the Wolfpack's fall slate.
