Wolfpack Closes Fall Season at Landfall Tradition

RALEIGH - The NC State women's golf team is set to close out the 2021 calendar year this weekend, as it travels to Wilmington, N.C., to compete in the Landfall Tradition.
Hosted by UNCW, the 54-hole event begins at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, with tee times beginning at the same time on Saturday. Sunday's final round of play will start with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m.
Nestled along the Intracoastal Waterway, the Country Club of Landfall provides a scenic backdrop for one of the top fields in all of college golf, headlined by seven ACC programs and nine teams either ranked or receiving votes in the WGCAÂ Coaches Poll.
NC State head coach Page Marsh will be carrying her traditional starting five this weekend, which includes Natalie Armbruester, Lauren Olivares Leon, Isabel Amezcua, Lea Klimentova, and Inja Fric.
The Wolfpack has a wealth of experience at the Landfall Tradition, this being the 15th time in program history competing in the tournament.

Two weeks ago at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational, NC State posted both its best single-round and tournament totals of the young season, good enough for a 14th place finish in Chapel Hill. Olivares Leon led the way at one-over (217) and finished in a tie for 29th individually, with Armbruester finishing in a tie for 47th, Klimentova and Amezcua each at 52nd, and finally Fric finishing in a tie for 64th.
