#12 Pack Heads to Paribas Open to Face Baylor

NC State to play at historic Indian Wells
RALEIGH – Entering on a four-match win streak, the 12th-ranked Pack travels to Indian Wells, Calif., to compete in the BNP Paribas Open Collegiate Tennis Challenge. NC State faces Baylor Fri., March 15 at 11 p.m. ET at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Pack in the Rankings
Tabbed at No. 12 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I rankings, the team has spent seven consecutive weeks in the top 25.
Individually, the Pack holds four spots in the singles and doubles rankings combined: No. 28 Anna Rogers, No. 90 Alana Smith, No. 103 Adriana Reami, No. 12 Rogers and Smith.
NC State also moved up a spot in the Tennis Channel/USTA College Tennis Top 25 rankings this week, checking in at No. 13.
Win Streaks
NC State is on a roll as of late, winning its past four matches. Posting wins in eight of its last nine matches, four have come against ranked opponents (No. 14 Virginia, No. 36 Boston College, No. 49 Louisville, No. 44 Notre Dame). Over the nine matches, the Pack has outscored its opponents 49-14.
Individually, four players in NC State's singles lineup hold win streaks. Leading the way is senior Bianca Moldovan, claiming victory in her last nine matches. Reami, Rogers, and Smith are on four-match win streaks.
In doubles, Rogers and Smith have won their past four matches, and Reami and Claudia Wiktorin have won their past two matches.
Alana Smith Named Freshman of the Week
Smith was named ACC Freshman of the Week on Wednesday. The freshman has garnered the accolade three times this season, tied for the most with UNC-CH's Cameron Morra.
Dynamic Doubles Duo
No. 12 Rogers and Smith boast a 23-3 doubles record together, including a 5-1 record in ACC play. The duo is 7-1 against nationally ranked opponents this season and has defeated three top-15 opponents (No. 5 Janet Koch/Nina Khmelnitckaia – Kansas, No. 13 Meghan Kelly/Sofia Munera – Virginia, No. 4 Marie Leduc/Fernanda Navarro – Clemson).

NC State is 6-2 against nationally ranked opponents and is 3-1 in matches on the road. Overall, the Pack has outscored ranked opponents 33-22.
Last Time Out
The No. 11 NC State women's tennis team picked up two wins in its home doubleheader Friday, defeating Clemson 6-1 and Appalachian State 7-0.
No. 12 Rogers and Smith went undefeated on the day in doubles (2-0), including a top-five win over No. 4 Marie Leduc and Fernanda Navarro (Clemson). Reami and Wiktorin also contributed two wins in the effort to secure both doubles points on Friday.
