Women’s Golf Travels To Tar Heel Invitational This Weekend

RALEIGH – The NC State women's golf team will be in action close by this weekend, as it will make the short trip to Chapel Hill, N.C., for the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational, hosted by North Carolina at Finley Golf Course.
This will weekend will be a great test against some of the nation's best teams, and the Wolfpack will be one of six Atlantic Coast Conference programs among the field. 14 of the 18 teams in the tournament are featured in the top 50 of the latest Golfweek rankings.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Course: Finley Golf Course (hosted by North Carolina)
Par: 72
Yardage: 6,379
Format: 54 holes (18 holes Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Tee Times: Teams will tee off holes 1 and 10 beginning at 8:51 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and Sunday will be a 9:15 a.m. shotgun start

LAST TIME OUT
NC State traveled to Wolcott, Colo. for the Golfweek Conference Challenge on Sept. 23-25, and finished ninth out of 18 teams. The squad finished on a strong note by matching its season-low of 293 (+5) on the final day of competition.
Monika Hartl was the low scorer among the team as she finished 29th with a four-over par 220, while freshmen Natalie Armbruester, Piler Berchot and Inja Fric all matched or posted their career-low 18-hole scores at the tournament.
NC STATE AT THE TAR HEEL INVITATIONAL
NC State has competed in the Tar Heel Invitational every year since the program was revived back in 2000, making this the 20th year the Wolfpack has been a part of the tournament. Its best finish at the tournament was third place in 2014.
