
Women’s Golf Set For Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship

RALEIGH – Coming off of a season-opening win at the Ocean Course Invitational, the NC State women's golf team is set to compete in the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship Monday morning.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Course: Cherokee Country Club – hosted by Tennessee
Par: 71
Yards: 5,897
Format: 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday)
Tee Times: There will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Monday and a 9 a.m. shotgun start Tuesday.

LAST TIME OUT
NC State captured the team title at the Ocean Course Invitational on Sept. 5 in Kiawah Island, S.C. The squad finished with a five-over par 881 to edge Florida State by three strokes.
Laura Kowohl led the team with a second-place finish with a career-best outing of 2124 (-5), while India Clyburn and Naomi Ko also garnered top 10 finishes with a one-under 218.

-The Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship is celebrating its 21st year, making it one of the longest standing collegiate tournaments in the country (1997-present).
-This year marks the fourth time NC State has played in the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate. The Pack last competed in the tournament in 2015 and finished seventh overall.
-The field includes seven teams that finished the 2016-17 season in Golfstat's top 50 rankings.
