
McGetrick Cards Top-10 Showing At Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. - Lindsay McGetrick tied for eighth place overall to lead the NC State women's golf team at the Landfall Tradition.
McGetrick (71-72-72--215) finished 1-under for the weekend and was one of just 10 players in the 99-player event to finish under par. She carded 13 birdies for the weekend en route to her third career top-10 finish and second this month.
"Her hard work continues to pay off," head coach Page Marsh said of McGetrick. "I'm proud of this team's fight. They never give up."
In addition to McGetrick's showing, Augusta James (+5) tied for 32nd and Rachael Taylor (+9) was 55th. Crystal Huang (+13) and Vivian Tsui (+14) rounded out the Wolfpack lineup.
NC State beat out Tennessee and UNC Chapel Hill for 12th among the 18 teams competing. Wake Forest won the event, followed by Alabama and Notre Dame.
NC State, ranked 14th in the most recent Golfweek rankings, has completed its fall schedule. The Wolfpack's next competition is Feb. 15-17 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
