Women’s Tennis to Open Fall Slate at Debbie Southern Furman Fall Classic

GREENVILLE, S.C. - NC State women's tennis is set to begin the 2026 fall campaign at the Debbie Southern Furman Fall Classic, hosted by Furman in Greenville from Friday, Sept. 11, through Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Mickel Tennis Center.
Play is set to begin at 9 a.m. each day, with Friday featuring two rounds of doubles followed by one round of singles. Saturday will consist of one round of doubles followed by one round of singles, while Sunday will feature one round of singles.
The nine-team field consists of host Furman, along with Alabama, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, South Carolina and Wake Forest.
The tournament will not have live stats, but fans can follow the Pack's results via social media. Select matches will also be available to stream through Track Tennis.
NC State enters the fall campaign coming off a 25-8 dual season in the spring that included the program's second ACC Championship title. The Wolfpack also advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, marking its fourth Elite Eight appearance in the last six seasons.
In the preseason Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, the Pack owns a pair of ranked singles players in No. 10 Mia Slama and No. 33 Lavinia Tanasie. In doubles, NC State has the No. 2-ranked duo in the country in Victoria Osuigwe and Roisin Gilheany, the No. 16-ranked pair of Slama and Tanasie, and the No. 23-ranked team of Jasmine Conway and Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo.
