Pack Opens ACC Slate at #18 Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - NC State women's soccer opens ACC play at No. 18 Florida State on Friday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. at Seminole Soccer Complex. The game will air on ACCNX.
The Wolfpack enters conference play at 7-0-1 after posting its first unbeaten nonconference season since 2004 and will look to carry that momentum into ACC play.

Last Time Out
NC State completed an unbeaten nonconference slate for the first time since 2004 with a 1-1 draw against Campbell at Eakes Athletic Complex on Sunday, Sept. 6.
Campbell struck first in the 12th minute on a set-piece goal by Kennedy Reed, holding the lead for the next 23 minutes until Jade Bordeleau leveled the game in the 36th minute. The teams went into halftime tied, and the second half was more of the same as the teams traded opportunities, but neither could find the back of the net as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Bordeleau's goal was her 10th of the season, which leads the team and the ACC. She has now scored in double figures in back-to-back seasons and is the only NC State player to score 10 or more goals in a single season since 2019. The goal was also the 26th of her career.
Scouting the Seminoles
Florida State enters Friday's ACC opener at 4-1-1 and ranked No. 18 in the country. The Seminoles own a top-25 win on the season, defeating then-No. 25 Georgia, and also have victories over Stetson, FIU and FAU. Sam Erbach leads the Florida State offense with a team-high nine points on three goals and three assists, while goalkeeper Kate Ockene has started five matches and made 18 saves with a 1.00 goals-against average.
Florida State is coming off its fifth national championship and third in the last five seasons. The Seminoles return four starters from last season's national championship team, while their incoming class was ranked No. 1 nationally by TopDrawerSoccer.
Series History
Friday night will be the 27th all-time meeting between NC State and Florida State, with the Seminoles leading the series, 19-3-4.
The most recent meeting came in 2025, when NC State played Florida State to a 1-1 draw at Dail Soccer Stadium. The Wolfpack held a 1-0 lead until the final minute, when the Seminoles found the equalizer with 35 seconds remaining. Bordeleau gave the Pack the lead with a converted penalty kick in the 81st minute. The draw marked NC State's first against a top-10 opponent since 2022, as Florida State entered the match ranked No. 7 nationally.
The Pack is traveling to Tallahassee for the first time since 2023, when it fell 5-0 to the Seminoles. NC State's previous trip to Florida State in 2018 ended in a 1-1 draw. The Wolfpack is looking for its first win over the Seminoles since 1998, while a draw on Friday would mark the first time NC State and Florida State have played to back-to-back draws since 1999 and 2000.
