#10 Wolfpack Cruises Past Louisville, 7-0

RALEIGH, NC. - No. 10 NC State women's tennis took care of business on Friday afternoon, sweeping Louisville, 7-0, at home. The Wolfpack claimed its 12th straight doubles point, while No. 65 Lavinia Tanasie secured the match-clinching victory before No. 51 Anna Zyryanova capped off the sweep.
NC State opened the day by earning its 12th consecutive doubles point with a pair of dominant 6-0 wins from the No. 2 duo of Gabriella Broadfoot and Victoria Osuigwe and the No. 73 pair of Jasmine Conway and Anna Zyryanova. At the time doubles play was halted, Mia Slama and Lavinia Tanasie held a 4-3 lead on court three.
In singles action, the Pack won all six courts, beginning with a quick 6-1, 6-1 victory from No. 36 Slama on court one. Amelie Smejkalova followed with her second win as a member of the Wolfpack, defeating Lucia Gallegos, 6-3, 6-4, before Tanasie delivered the clinching point with a straight-set 6-2, 6-2 win on court four.
NC State continued to roll after the clinch, with Conway and No. 42 Broadfoot each adding straight-set victories on courts five and two, respectively. Zyryanova then completed the shutout on court three, battling to a 7-5, 7-6(2) win in the final match of the day.
With the win, NC State improves to 16-5 overall and 8-1 in ACC play.
