Wolfpack Track & Field Heads into Action at Three Meets

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State Track & Field team looks ahead to a packed weekend on February 13-14, with athletes competing across three meets. Athletes will split and compete in the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, S.C., the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational in Lynchburg, Va. and the ASICS Sound Invite in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The Wolfpack turned in a strong weekend across split competition at the Doc Hale Invitational and Camel City Invitational, highlighted by three event wins, 11 podium finishes and six all-time NC State times. Freshman Alexis Mayhew also ran under the new meet record in the 600m at the Camel City Invitational.
TOP-20 NATIONAL RANKINGS
For the third consecutive week, Saide Engelhardt and Angelina Napoleon rank among the top 20 nationally in their respective events. Engelhardt continues to sit at No. 6 in the mile, while Napoleon moves up a spot to rank No. 8 in the 3000m.
At the squad level, Bethany Michalak, Kate Putman and Brooke Rauber join Engelhardt for the third straight week to form the fourth-fastest women's mile group in the NCAA, posting an average time of 4:35.75.
Hannah Gapes joins Napoleon, Engelhardt and Rauber to make up the sixth-fastest women's 3000m group in the NCAA, with an average time of 9:02.08 for the second straight week.
On the men's side, the triple jump squad enters the national rankings at No. 12. Ryan John, Ryan Farness, Asun Pender and Jack Owen combine for an average mark of 14.41m (47' 3.25").
