Hannah Gapes Named ACC Female Performer of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) announced its weekly honors Tuesday afternoon, with NC State's Hannah Gapes earning a spot among this week's honorees.
ACC weekly awards recognize the student-athletes who deliver the most outstanding individual performances during regular-season competition, with honorees selected by a vote.
After being named the USTFCCCA Women's Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon, Gapes added another accolade to her résumé, earning ACC honors for her performance at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational.
Gapes led the field in the women's 5k, claiming the individual title with a time of 15:22.6. The performance marked a new personal best for Gapes and the fastest time by a Wolfpack athlete on the course.
The honor marks Gapes' third ACC Performer of the Week award of her career. Her previous selection came last season on Oct. 7.
