NC State Hosts No. 4 UMKC in First-Ever Matchup

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State men's soccer (3-5-3, 1-3-1 ACC) will take a break from ACC play on Sunday, Oct. 11, when it welcomes No. 4 UMKC (8-1-2, 2-0-0 Summit League) to Dail Soccer Field for the first meeting between the two programs. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

- Sunday marks the first meeting between NC State and UMKC.

- The Wolfpack entered the season ranked No. 2 nationally, dropped to No. 20 after the first two games, and has fallen out of the rankings since the second week.
- NC State was picked to finish first in the Atlantic Coast Conference, earning eight first-place votes.
- The ACC has five teams ranked in the top-25 nationally according to the United Soccer Coaches Poll (No. 1 SMU, No. 5 Clemson, No. 10 Pitt, No. 11 Louisville and No. 13 Stanford).
- A draw with Coastal Carolina to open the season moved the team's opening record under Marc Hubbard to 2-0-1.
- The Wolfpack faced its first ranked opponent of the season, No. 23 UNCW on September 15th. NC State shut out the Seahawks 1-0 to earn its first shutout and ranked win of the season.
The Last Month of the Regular Season…
- The last month of the regular season includes seven games, with four on the road and three at home.
- The team will play three non-conference games: UNCG on the road, and UMKC and Mercer at home.
- As well as finishing up the ACC regular season on the road at Louisville, California and North Carolina, and celebrating its seniors at home against Stanford.

- The Wolfpack is 3-1-2 at home during the 2026 season. The unbeaten streak came to an end against Wake Forest on Sept. 25.
- Since Hubbard has been at the helm of the Wolfpack, the team has posted a 18-5-5 (.732) record in games played on its home turf. Included in that record is a 5-1 win against No. 10 SMU in 2024 and a 1-1 draw against No. 18 UNC Greensboro in 2025. Last season, the Pack won two more games at home than they did during the 2024 season.

- UMKC is the fourth ranked opponent NC State has faced this season.
- The Wolfpack is 1-2-0 against ranked opponents.
