(9) Men’s Tennis Travels Faces Columbia in NYC for Super Regional Match

RALEIGH – Ninth-seeded NC State men's tennis continues its postseason action with an NCAA Super Regional match against eighth-seeded Columbia in New York City on Saturday at 1 p.m. The winner of the match will advance to the Elite Eight at the final competition site in Waco, Texas.

The match will be held at the Milstein Family Tennis Center in New York City. Fans at home will be able to follow along with live scores here, live streams here, and Cracked Racquets coverage on YouTube.

Updated Rankings
NC State has remained in the top 10 for 11 straight ITA team polls, beginning on February 20. The team enters the tournament as eighth in the country according to ITA, while holding the No. 9 seed in the bracket.
Braden Shick and Fons Van Sambeek have climbed to a career-high doubles ranking of No. 6 while Jules Leroux and Luca Staeheli follow behind with a current ranking of No. 20. Shick also leads the team in singles rankings at No. 27, Martin Borisiouk holds the No. 30 position, and rounding out the squad is Staeheli at No. 91.
Last Time Out
The Pack hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament in Raleigh which featured matches against South Carolina State and Georgia. Wins over both of the Bulldogs, secured the third-ever advancement to the NCAA Super Regional in program history, and second time under head coach Kyle Spencer.
Scouting the Lions
Columbia currently holds a 19-4 record for the 2025 dual season, finishing 7-0 in The Ivy League regular season. The Pack and the Bulldogs shared six opponents this season with matches against Clemson, Duke, Miami, Michigan, Stanford, and Wake Forest.
The two already met earlier this season in New York in February which resulted in a 4-2 win for the Lions.
