Pack Men’s Tennis Concludes Season in NCAA Super Regional

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The NC State men's tennis team concluded its season Saturday afternoon when it fell to eighth-seeded Columbia in New York by a 4-2 score in the 2025 NCAA Tournament Super Regional match.
After hosting and winning out the first and second rounds in Raleigh, The Wolfpack played in its third-ever NCAA Sweet 16 match hosted by Columbia in New York City.
The usual lineup for the Pack had sixth-ranked Braden Shick and Fons Van Sambeek on court one, 20th-ranked Jules Leroux and Luca Staeheli on court two, and Martin Borisiouk and Nikolay Nedelchev on court three. The Lions took the doubles point with wins on courts one and three.
Senior Braden Shick was out for singles, moving up everyone in the lineup for the Pack and entering Nikolay Nedelchev at court six who was able to get his victory in straight sets.
Staeheli recorded his final victory for the red-and-white with an impressive ranked win over No. 52 Nicolas Kotzen in two sets, leaving him tied for seventh most career singles victories in program history at 84.
Moved up to court five, William Manning held a lead by claiming his first set 6-4 and was tied 4-4 in the second when the match was already clinched by the opponent.
