Women’s Golf Closes Out Golfweek Conference Challenge With Season-Low 293

WOLCOTT, Colo. – The NC State women's golf team closed out competition at the Golfweek Conference Challenge on a high note Wednesday, turning in five-over par 293 to match its lowest 18-hole score of the season.
The squad's strong finish led the Wolfpack to a ninth-place finish out of 18 teams with a three-day total of 885 (+21). Ole Miss (849, -15), Pepperdine (857, -7) and UCLA (859, -5) rounded out the podium at Red Sky Golf Club's Fazio Course in Wolcott, Colo.
NC State's round was highlighted by Lea Klimentova's even-par 72, while Pilar Berchot carded a one-over 73 to match her career low score for 18 holes. Additionally, Monika Hartl and Natalie Armbruester both shot a 74 and Inja Fric turned in a 78 (+6).
Hartl posted the highest finish among the Pack at T29th out of 96 players, while Fric, Armbruester and Klimentova also managed to finish among the top 50 of the individual standings.
NC State returns to action Oct. 11-13 when it makes the short trip to Chapel Hill, N.C., for the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational at North Carolina's Finley Golf Course.
