NC State Closes Out Regular Season in Quad-Meet Sunday

The Pack Competes at West Virginia with Ohio State, Penn State
RALEIGH – The No. 27 NC State gymnastics team concludes regular season competition on Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at No. 28 West Virginia with No. 22 Ohio State and No. 24 Penn State. The Pack is coming off its second-highest score of the season (196.100), eclipsing the 196.000+ mark for the second time in 2019.

NC State is nine podium placements away from hitting the 100 mark this season and has already collected the most placements in the past five seasons. The team had 89 in 2018, 69 in 2017, 60 in 2016, and 69 in 2015.
EAGL Weekly Honors
Drew Grantham was named EAGL Gymnast of the Week and Alexa Phillips was named EAGL Co-Specialist of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday.
The announcement marks Grantham's third EAGL Gymnast of the Week accolade this season, the second-most in the conference, trailing only Danielle Mulligan (UNH), who has won four times.

NC State has earned 10 scores of 9.900+ in the last five meets. Grantham has collected three consecutive 9.900 vaults in her last three outings and has four on the season. She also set a new career-high on beam in the home finale with a 9.900. The Durham, N.C., native has reached the 9.900 mark on floor twice this season, anchoring the Pack with a 9.925 (vs UNC-CH) and a 9.900 (vs Pitt).
Lauren Kent has shown prowess on bars with three 9.900s, claiming the bars title twice with that score, while sharing the title the other.
Alexa Phillips capped off Senior Day with a 9.900 on floor, tying her career-high while setting a new season high.
