
Clyburn, Hartl In Top 15 After Two Rounds At Tar Heel Classic

LA ROMANA, Dominican Republic – NC State women's golf's India Clyburn and Monika Hartl picked up where they left off last weekend, as they are T6th and T11th, respectively, out of 75 players through the first two rounds of the Tar Heel Classic Casa De Campo. Clyburn shot a one-under 71 in both rounds to post a combined 142 (-2), while Hartl shot rounds of 73 and 71 and is at even par with a 144.
The Wolfpack carded scores of 295 (+7) and 292 (+4) at Teeth of the Dog Golf Course for a combined 587 (+11) on the day, and is in seventh place out of 15 teams. No. 12 Wake Forest (567, -9) leads the field while No. 16 Virginia (571, -5) and host UNC-Chapel Hill (576, E) are in second and third, respectively.
Laura Kowohl is in a tie for 41st after posting rounds of 74 (+2) and 77 for a 36-hole score of 151. Mim Sangkapong and Lea Klimentova managed to improve their scores from the first to second round, as both posted a three-over par 75 in round two after Sangkapong shot 77and Klimentova posted an 85 (+13) in the round one.
Sangkapong is T45th individually with a 152 (+8) and Klimentova is T69th with a 160 (+16).
NC State will close out competition in the Dominican Republic Saturday in a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. The Pack will be paired with LSU and Virginia Tech on holes eight through 11.
