Kowohl Paces Pack In First Round Of #ACCWGolf Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior Laura Kowohl of the NC State women's golf team paced her squad in the opening round of the ACC Women's Golf Championship on Saturday, shooting a one-over par 73 at Grandover Resort's East Course to sit in a tie for 12th.

The Wolfpack shot a combined 303 (+15) and is in 10th place out of 12 teams. Duke (282, -6), Clemson (286, -2) and Florida State (291, +3) round out the top three of the field.

Naomi Ko turned in a 74 (+2) and is among the top 20 of the player standings, sharing a tie for 19th. Cecily Overbey shot a 77 (+5) and is T39th, while India Clyburn carded a 79 (+7) to share a tie for 50th. Monika Hartl rounded out the Pack's lineup with an eight-over par 80 and is T53rd overall.

The Pack will continue play Sunday at the ACC Championship. The team will tee off hole 10 between 9:00 and 9:40 a.m. with Boston College and UNC-Chapel Hill.
