Clyburn Leads Pack Through First Two Rounds Of Wildcat Invitational

TUSCON, Ariz. – Junior India Clyburn shot an even-par 144 (74-70) on Monday at the Wildcat Invitational, pacing the NC State women's golf team through the first 36 holes as she sits in a tie for 15th out of 95 players.

Hosted by Arizona at Sewailo Golf Course Wolfpack is in 11th place out of 17 teams with a score of 596 (+20), posting a 298 in each round. UCLA (562, -14), Arizona (572, -4) and Texas (574, -2) round out the top three of the team standings.

Cecily Overbey turned in the second-best total among the team on Monday as she finished the day with an eight-over par 150 (76-74) to share a tie for 49th. Laura Kowohl sits one stroke back from Overbey in T54th as she posted scores of 74 and 77.

Mim Sangkapong shot a 10-over par 152 (75-77) and Naomi Ko rounded out the team's top five with a 153 (75-78), as they are T57th and T60th, in respective order.

Crystal Huang, who competed as an individual, is in a tie for 42nd as she turned in a 36-hole total of 149 (73-76).

NC State will conclude play Tuesday at the Wildcat Invitational in a 10 a.m. ET shotgun start. The team will tee off holes 8-11 and be paired with competitors from Missouri, Portland State and Kansas State.
